Baseball Rules

Tournament Format

2 Groups with 4 teams each
4 games guaranteed per team

Mercy Rule

10 runs after 5 innings / 15 runs after 4 innings / 20 runs after 3 innings

Ranking

If two or more teams have the same W-L record, the ranking will be determined to the following order:
1. The team that has won the game(s) between the teams tied
2. The team that has the best Team's Quality Balance (TQB)
3. The team that has the best Earned Runs Team's Quality Balance (ERTQB).
4. Highest batting average in games between the teams tied
5. A coin flip
...shall be given the higher position.

Bats

Only wood and composite wood bats are allowed during the whole tournament.

General rules

  • A DH may be used.
  • Ejection will be penalized with the present game and the following game.
  • All basecoaches have to wear helmets
  • Line-ups have to be provided to the scorekeepers 30 minutes before gametime.
  • Home/Guestteam according to the schedule (placement games: decision by coin flip 30 min before scheduled gametime at the scorekeepers booth)
  • Tie breaker: If a game is tied, both team start with a baserunner on 2nd base (last plate appearance of previous inning) and no outs.


Softball Rules
