Spring hasn`t started yet in Austria, but the Athletics don`t stare out of the window and wait till the sun comes out: The past two weekends were used to prepare the field for the umpcoming season!
And the season starts faster than you can say "Baseball". First games will be played April 13th when the Hawks play for the title of the Upper Austrian Championship in Attnang, while the first Fastpitch games of the Athletics history will take place at the new second field.

80 days until FINKSTONBALL XIV and we can finally present the line-up for this years tournament. These teams confirmed their participation: 1. Attnang-Puchheim Athletics (AUT) 2. The International Game (USA) 3. Swiss Nationalteam (SUI) 4. Austrian Nationalteam (AUT) 5. Belfast Northstars (GBR) 6. Bad Homburg Hornets (GER) 7. Polish Nationalteam (POL) 8. Sissach Frogs (SUI) 9. Hluboka Cardinals(CZE) 10. Athletic Sofia (BUL) 11. BK Vindija (CRO) 12. Domazlice Wolfs (CZE) These 12 teams from 9 different nations will play from May 18th till May 20th for the title. For the first time in the sixteen years old history of the tournament there will be a team from the US and three nationalteams participating at the tournament. Not only clubs from all over Europe use Finkstonball Tournament for preparations for the season, also Nationalteams take the opportunity to play against high quality teams to be ready for the European Championships. This year even three Nationalteams take part at Finkstonball: Austria, Swiss and Poland bring their best players of the country. |

For the first time in the FINKSTONBALL history a team from the USA will participate at the tournament. John Dobkowski from the organisation "The international game" will bring a team with players from all over the USA. Headcoach of the team is no other than Ty Eriksen, who is well known in Attnang, as he won best batter at the tournament in 2012. Attnang will just be one stop at the tour of "The internatinal game" as they will also visit Vienna, where they play a friendship game against the Austrian NT, and Munich. The international game |
